>>55667708My post didn't imply the game was "alive," numbnuts. I haven't played Palworld in weeks and don't expect significant updates for a while since it's still in development.
My post was pointing to the fact that anyone assuming the IP would be abandoned after the devs made their bags is an assumption that could only come from someone with 0 business sense. At the very least, they would sell it to Microsoft who seems more than happy to have a Pokemon competitor under their belt considering how hard they're marketing it.
Whether or not that means it'll get worthwhile updates isn't being addressed at all. I don't have absolute confidence they'll be able to follow up their flash in a pan success that may very well have been dumb luck.
They're on a good track to do so, especially if they keep on track with leaning into the fact that they aren't Pokemon and so can get away with doing things TPC would never do (blatantly leaning into their furry fanbase/making more teen audience content).
But just because they're in a good position doesn't mean they'll know how to deliver on their untapped potential. My post is simply shitting on the people who were so adamant on the game being abandoned in its current state. They obviously care about the IP they just made, why wouldn't they? Pokemon is the fucking largest grossing IP in the world and they managed to upstage them, even if momentarily. Anyone who wouldn't try seeing that opportunity to its ends is a fucking moron.
