It's not for everyone, and it's a bit much for me sometimes, but I do enjoy the over-exaggerated character acting the trainers do when they're calling out moves in XY. It's unabashed and obnoxious in the best way.
My ideal show is basically just PM, but with XY animation and DP battle writing. I like the lightheartedness and designs of PM, but Ash wins too easily and the animation is often abysmal.
