You decide to start things off easy, by covering the field in water pillars, the kinds that fiery birds on fire that spew fire fear most. The pillars will limit Moltres' flight and make it difficult to navigate, thus making the phoenix an easier target to hit.
"GEKO!"
Pounding his fist on the ground, geysers sprout throughout the battlefield. Though none hit Moltres dead on, their effect is felt in the long run. Moltres' attempts to connect Air Slash are made increasingly more difficult by the water pillars, he can't get a good shot at the frog because he keeps using the pillars as shields.
"Mooolllllllllllllllllllll!" overwhelmed, Moltres turns to Lysandre for guidance, but all he can offer is more fuel to the fire. His robo-tentacles flail all over the place, a symbol of his growing hatred, "I don't care what you do so as long as you hit it! Just hit it! I don't care how!"
"Tressssss!"
Relying on natural instinct rather than an incompetent trainer, Moltres creatively uses Fire Spin to forge a protective shield around himself. Then, he spins around and fires off multiple Air Slashes in place, one of them bound to hit Frogadier eventually.
