>>35333124>contNow, there are two details in Vanilluxe that I find interesting. The first element is the straw-like structure itself.
The line seems to put a bit of attention through its animations on the capacity of this family of mons to create some sort of cold fog around themselves. The straw in Vanilluxe seems to be the epitome of this detail, as it appears to be the main body part used for this action.
My problem with the straw is that it comes out of nowhere in the design, tipping an already greatly unbalanced duality in favor of the ice-cream theme even more. I feel that if this straw structure was somehow included throughout the line, not only the sudden unbalance would be avoided but it could explore a secondary theme related to the ability of the pokemon to create a cold atmosphere. What I'm talking about is to balance the duality by making the tube structures something that always was part of the pokemon, making it less reminiscent of an actual straw and diminishing the ice-cream theme.
Like another anon said, I feel this would work fine with a secondary fairy type, putting emphasis on the fact that it's supposed to be some kind of winter bringer sprite.
The second detail that catches my attention, is the subtle (and most probably accidental) smile pattern that appears on the back of Vanilluxe. The line is known for having a perpetual smiling face, so instead of the straw idea, the design could have been expanded upon this smile thing. I recognize I don't know how that would come out, but at least I'm offering alternative paths that could have been taken.
Overall I feel the line's design would have benefited from having a secondary type.
