The text is dumb.
The point is the image, which is implying something I was thinking of since the site has pic related to represent the "third story" currently.

Seems that the three students we've been shown will focus on the three stories.
>Nemona will be our rival/guide through the gyms
>Penny will be dealing with the flags/racing thing with the car
>Arven will be involved with the exploration stuff via the towers and whatnot (probably the Treasure Hunt).

What if the 3 students we've learned about so far are for each of the 3 stories?

Could be that they're just present in all of them, but just feels like something they'd be leaning into with the different characters shown so far.
