Pokemon designs are tricky because even since the start they've been all over the place, but if there was ever throughline, it was it felt like they all belonged in the same world and were organic to it, that no matter what gen it was, you could still tell they were Pokemon at the end of the day
The exceptions were the Ultra Beasts, which were specifically made to not be naitive to the Pokemon universe.
These new designs don't feel organic, and what I mean by that is, they don't feel like Pokemon
Fire crocodile for example looks like he'd be more at home in a Yoshi game, which is the most drastic example but the other two aren't much better
