You are having fun, you're liking it, admit that it's good. Admit that the game is not as bad as all the nitpicking had you brainwashed. This game is decently directed and scores a solid 8.5, being without a doubt a must-buy for every Switch owner that's interested in Pokémon or have kids.

It lacks the dex? Yes.
It's an HD 3DS game? Yes.
Does this make it a bad game? No.

It could have been a 10/10 game on par with Odyssey and BotW if GF weren't greedy? Hell yeah. But that's not news for you if you're still a fan to this point.

You're liking it, so admit it's good. SwSh is not as bad as all the nitpicking made you believe. This game is very directed and scores a solid 8.5, being easily one of the best JRPGs of the Switch to date and a must-buy for its users.

I'm currently going to buy Sword and Shield to support GameFreak with their choice. If you care for your older Pokémon go play with them in the Pokémon Home app and please don't bring them to your game. If GF somehow go back because of pressure and bring the National Dex on the Switch games, I'm probably dropping the franchise. I really miss Gen 3 - 4 competitive metagame. This is not an ironic post.

I finished the game with ~27 hours, exploring 100% of every map and talking to every NPC, changing clothes in every city, getting 50 Pokémon in the Pokédex and practically ignorning the Wild Area, if this works as a parameter for someone.

I had to grind for some minutes for for Nessa since I used a Fire/Steel dualtype team in "Set" and no items.
