Fuck no. I'm excited as SHIT. I've been playing since Gen1 and I've never been this hyped for a Pokemon game yet.
The 70 pokemon thing kind of sucks but it doesn't bother me that much. Every gen there's only really a handful of Pokemon I like anyways. I like the designs on the few Pokemon we're getting this gen enough that the number isn't a big deal to me.
The biggest selling point on this game for me is the 3D aspect and the variety of mons to catch. There have been a lot of Pokemon I couldn't or didn't want to use in normal playthroughs before because I either couldnt' catch them or their sprites made them look retarded.
With the 3D, this isn't a problem. I'm open to using a LOT more Pokemon I haven't used before just because I get to look at them in 3D. I never would have thought to use Pinsir before, but after hearing that his battle animation has him bowing down and clinching his claws every time he attacks? That's fucking awesome. I'll give him a shot.
Also one leaker said he saw at least 60+ different pokemon before the 2nd gym (including older ones). That's a bigger variety of Pokemon to use than any other game at that point.
