This is where they went wrong with pokemon design past Gen 2. Instead of correcting their mistake and coming up with the current natural looking Octillery we know and love they kept the original rough draft design of pokemons and were too defined by their gimmicks and substituted weird protruding shit or color patterns with natural anatomy.
