Solution: You can filter the search on the "options" it will filter out all the special Pokemon (except the trios from Gen I and 2), also after you've searched for the Pokemon there's another option to filter out and show only Pokemon the people are asking that you currently have in box (including level/gender)
The GTS is shit because it's full of idiots, but it's nothing that you can't work around
