>>13013685>>13014341I'm afraid I don't have the luxury of being able to cut it out without ruing the impact of the climax that happens afterward. Thing is, the character-building mini arc I'm stuck on is there to flesh out the town the heroes in my story are trying to save. In these chapters I'm showing the daily lives of the citizens, bringing faces to the town. Without them, the town may as well just be some lifeless goal or object they're trying to save. I want the readers to care about the every man, to give the victory substance.
I think I'm just pussing out because I think my readers aren't going to give many shits about character building chapters, though they seemed not to mind the recent 18k one.
Could this be self doubt? Laziness? Procrastination?
How do you guys deal with writer's block? I know I just need to go there and start typing stuff, because any words are better than no words, but I'm running low on motivation.
