There’s a black variant of the maneki neko with gold rings that’s supposed to be a simplified tortoiseshell cat, a mirror to the white calico version. The black version is said to ward off spirits and has the exact same ring placements as Umbreon, it’s also important to remember that it’s japanese name is a combo of black+lucky (black cats are considered lucky/unlucky depending on the culture), and that the maneki neko is a type of bake neko, which is said to borrow it’s power from the moon.
