They just casually dropped so much info throughout the episode. Orio and Friede are childhood friends, thereby giving her a retroactive headstart in the Friedebowl. They're both from Kanto, and Friede evidently stayed there while Orio moved to Hoenn for work. Which leads me to pic related. Literally one shot of Slateport, but you can immediately tell it's Slateport. Horizons so far has done a really good job of making these cities look recognizably like their counterparts in the games. I don't need a 1-for-1 remake of game cities to satiate my need for LORE, but the fact that they seem to be giving that much attention to their depiction over portraying them as interchangeable places is a lot of effort that isn't needed, but much appreciated.
