Currently playing Violet with DLC. I'm before first badge and in kitakami and to be honest if they didn't talk so much crap and trainer AI was better, I would rate it as one of best pokemon games. They feel like they could break apart in any moment, but they give you so much freedom that I enjoy playing it. I know gen 10 won't be any better, but I hope they listen to the community and at least make NPC interractions more interesting. I really don't give a damn about their moods or how they love pokemon and shit. I feel like I just want mash A to skip them all along and have my pokemon adventure. Back during gen 2 they at least made NPCs talk simple stuff and it was way better than what they talk to you now. Overall I feel this game and PLA are good direction, pokemon games are about freedom and adventure and pokemon world that feels alive.
Unironically can't wait for gen 10
