You didn't asked a question, you raised a fallacy. Megas aren't a generational gimmick because their relevance isn't to one generation or region.
Megas were in ORAS, which also made new ones; therefore they can't be exclusive to Kalos and aren't only associated with Gen VI. This is further proven by them being a part of every Gen VII game and even getting precedence over Z-moves for that remake, which started the generational gimmick trend in the first place.
If megas were comparable to Z-Moves or Dynamax, then LGPE would have had Z-Moves and BDSP would have Dynamax, or Gen VIII would have Z-Moves but no new ones and Gen IX would have Gigantamax but no new ones.
They are not the same, no matter how much you try and conflate them.
