>>36459376Well, it finally happened, I lost a mon and it wasn't Hedwig surprisingly. I didn't do any grinding after the Gym and backtracked to all the optional Surf areas and the trainers had mons in the mid-30's. One of the cunts on that hidden part of Route 34 had a Lanturn that was kicking my shit six ways to Sunday. I don't remember what I meant to switch into, but I clicked Joss by mistake. RIP in pepperoni Joss, and welcome to the squad Reptar. Please don't make the same mistake Joss did.
While trekking back to the start for some surfing encounters I won legendary bird bingo, turns out Zapdos was the rare encounter on Route 31. I also found the second gerbil in Slowpoke Well and the third at the Glitter Lighthouse. Two more legendaries and I get a free sandwich. Speaking of legendaries I haven't encountered yet, I found a Berserk Gene and some idiot in Olivine wanted a Mewtwo for his Goldeen. What a deal. A big, beautiful, tremendous deal. The best deal.
After nearly losing ANOTHER Rock/Ground type on Route 41 (god dammit Reptar, what did I say about switching into super-effective moves?), I finally made it to Cianwood. After dealing with Mystical Manchild Eusine and his pathetic team of Yellowducky, Pikachu, and Teddiursa, I made my way to Cianwood Gym where my newest teammate Reptar made up for his earlier lapse of judgment and handily took down Chuck's Fuck and Shuckle (formerly Sneed's) and Lavmar. Easy peasy. I got the Storm Badge (dumb name desu) which inexplicably makes Pokemon up to level 70 obey me (lolwut) and got a TM for Drill Peck, which nothing can make use of.
