Diamond and Pearl remakes will be fine, even if they follow the ORAS formula of remaking a game. Building them off of the engine of Sun and Moon will inherently fix many problems the games had.
Making full out sequels to future games instead of remaking them is unnecessary. The only sequel I think they could really do is a hypothetical Black and White 3, and even then, I would rather both games get remade first.
I think a game featuring all of the regions is achievable without fucking up how the game's leveling curve is.
Torterra is the best Sinnoh starter.
