>>35504844If I wasn't doing a gen 1 look with so little description, from what it sounded like it was similar to Raichu but with fangs and horns, I would've taken a completely different route.
But a lot of original kanto mons had a "just gets bigger" look. I really do think it does look a little too much like Raichu from first glance, but it has a heavier build and stumpy feet similar to Gengar.
It's back also hunches a bit more, albeit it doesn't really show but it has spiked up back fur.
There are the Tomoe symbols as cheeks, Raijin look and colour and the classic gen 1 horns. Some concepts went with two thicker tails that would clap like thunder, but I felt that was too busy. I do regret not adjusting the tail a bit more, it is the weakest part of the design. Perhaps I could have given it a more jagged look, but again, it was getting busy.
My favourite part are the lightning bolt stripes because it just made sense.
