>Level curve bad!
There were 16 fucking gym leaders to battle, not to mention they are all able to be rebattled.
>Johto pokemon distribution is bad!
Heracross in Azelea Town, Mareep, and Wooper in Route 132... plenty of the Johtomons hide in trees. No wonder this """opinion""" started to become a thing around 2016 when zoomers with 0 attention span flooded the internet.
>Johto leaders using KANTOOOOOmons
This really isn't all that big of an issue. And by the sixth gym you tart to see a fair amount of diversity.
>Kanto is even more boring than usual
Kanto may be slightly smaller, but it's a more fleshed out postgame area than any other in the franchise, except for BF. And HGSS has the BF.
>Johto is dull and small
Not true, just take time to explore deeper into places like Union Cave, or Dark Cave with HMs, you'll know that's not the case.
It's not even a debate. HGSS is the peak, not to mention, it has these other features:
>Added Route 47 and 48 with a customizable Safari Zone, and a postgame with Hoenn and Sinnoh pokemons.
> a harder Red fight
>Game Corner replaced with a fun minigame.
>Gym leaders are even more challenging than the originals
>Bringing back many beloved canon characters like Crasher Wake in Route 47/48, Steven along with the ability to choose Hoenn starters, Cynthia in the sinjoh ruins, etc.
