Alright, nothing too spectacular. The ones midgame are the best, the stretch from route 12 to route 15 being an example.

Really solid route design for how minimalistic it is. Areas really open up once you get HMs like surf, something not a lot of people give Johto credit for.

Best route designs hands down. Super open without being overbearing, with tons of hidden areas to explore. Even the water routes, for as much as people shit on them, have a lot going on to prevent you from getting lost, like dive trails and little islands.

Solid. Some really stand out routes are 212 and the stretch from route 216-217.

These are alright for what they are. Feels a bit TOO straightforward at times. The routes introduced in BW2 feel like they have a bit more substance.

The highs are really high but the lows are REALLY low. The fucking slow ass snow route with mammoswine, the desert one with the blowing wind, route 1 come to mind.

Boring. Too straightforward.

Fucking horrible. The most boring route design in the franchise. Everything's either too small or a straight line with no semblance of exploration. Which is a shame since the wild area is so expansive.
