A reminder that Arceus had a small Event that simply involved you speaking to an NPC in Platinum version (Remind you of something? Hint: The leaked Kalos Events) BUT when transferred to HeartGold & SoulSilver, activated a full Easter Egg quest.
The people making OR/AS are the same team who made HG/SS.
Don't be disappointed by the underwhelming leaked Kalos Events, because at least one of the Kalos Event Pokémon is going to have a full quest in Hoenn. All theories point towards Hoopa & Mirage Island, although Volcanion fits very well into Hoenn lore too.
