You gotta learn the meta and build a team without too many weaknesses to common mons and typings in general.
The other half consists of learning how to use their team. This is where the Smogonbabby insult comes in. Too many new players copy Pokemon, or even entire teams, because they have no idea how to make a team in the first place. Therefore, have no idea about the "inner workings" of the team and how they mesh together.
Now, in the actual battle, you put all of these skills together and learn to predict, switch, double-switch, etc.
So don't tell me something like Gliscor, and easily taunted/phased out/ rotom-w countered pokemon is giving you trouble.
Maybe you should rethink your team and if a common threat is a problem, fill in those holes.
