So much went wrong, it's like they forget the basics of aesthetics or consulted a fucking kindergarden class to design their monsters. Look at Hoenn's Pokemon, look how badly the quality fell. You can see a good example of this with Gallade, how they gave it those disgusting hips for zero reason while Gardevoir was streamlined and elegant.
Unova was absolutely a leap forward and return to grace. It had it's fair share of shit, but god they really learned from their last mess.
