>>55496812Original series was good marketing, though. Misty actually had a distinct character and Ash was a shitter and not just some oblivious retard shounen MC. Not saying it was all bad after Misty's departure, but the show definitely lost its standalone identity and became much more of a blatant vehicle for advertising.
