Finally made it to the lakeside, which took about 120 days as a f2p. And, I've only caught 2 Ralts and Kirlia in all that time, all male. I just can't hit the snoozing style.
Only caught 5 shiny pokemon altogether, so the "1 shiny per month" rate is proving to hold true. And, without even having been able to catch a single female ralts whatsoever, at my current rate it should take about 100 years, give or take a decade.
I plan on skipping most events that happen outside the lakeside from now on. While it means missing out on some event pokemon, I really need to focus on building up that befriending badge.
