Anyway, Pokemon isn't trying to compete with digital pets even though the franchise is a perfect fit for it. The one time they did try to do it they failed to include any actual elements that are important to v-pets.

There was the Eevee Tamagotchi collab, but fuck eevee, and it's still retarded to do a pokemon themed v-pet and not have battling in it.

At least they did a colored version a few years later and it took Digimon until 2021 to release a virtual pet with color.
