Obviously I'm not that much of an Amour fan (I can see the appeal though - the self inserters want to imagine themselves as a "kewl" Ash having a thisty cute Kalos girlfriend like Serena, well that's the impression I got, and visually they do look nice togther but in terms of personality they're not really compatible).
I do believe that Giselle is the only girl in the whole anime that would really suit Ash well - she's "alpha" enough to keep Ash's autism in check and feminine enough to keep him interested in her as a girl plus she's a League battler so they'd get along really well if they were ever to become companions.
At the end of the day, we're all free to ship whatever we want to and share our views on the topic because our personal perceptions of the story are just as important and valuable as the canon version especially since there's no real unity even among the writers on what the Ashnime should be like.
