>>45000768Not sure if this is bait or not, but biting anyway. SwSh doesn't look good. As a jump from GF's previous games its a definite visual improvement, but it doesn't hold up against just about everything else. The game barely runs on It's own hardware which isn't even a knock against Gamefreak. Even BotW struggled in both handheld and docked mode. That's Nintendo's fault.
Aside from that, they continue to under-deliver in their games. The exclusion and now back-peddling to include past pokemon was totally unnecessary and embarrassing for them to work around. and the gameplay left a lot to be desired with them severely nerfing gym puzzles, which were never that difficult but added some degree of a dungeon aspect to each gym. Not to mention the lack of difficulty settings despite them claiming this game was made with the fans in mind. The Pokemon and character designs are the games only saving grace. Sure, a lot of them leave a lot to be desired, but everyone has their own taste.
As far as the overworld is concerned, this game has improved a lot, and the DLC wild area was really cool to walk around with the free camera. the pokemon appearing in the overworld is also a feature that I hope to god sticks around. With every gimmick now being all-but-confirmed to be stuck to that generation's games has also been frustrating. I can understand that implementing everything from double, triple, rotation battles to Mega evolutions and now Dynamax can be a lot. Especially with all of the rest of the battle mechanics.
Despite all of that though, each game after Black and white 2 has been declining in overall quality and its frustrating.
