>>54047237>>54047290>>54047388>>54048451>>54048454>>54048504>>54048474This one was a quite a bit harder than the other two desu, but I think I've got a fitting team for Dale.
>HeatmorPretty much his anti Bug-Type pokemon, eats bugs and is super effective against them. It's Dale's direct force pokemon/flamethrower.
>FearowDale raised a hawk in the show, and I almost went with Farfetch'd to have it stay an arm resting bid, but thought Spearow fit best since it gains a long beak that makes pecking/drill pecks that much better against carapace I guess. I could see Dale catching and raising a Spearow pretty easily.
>PalossandPretty much his Pocket Sand, mainly uses it for sandstorm to blind opponents, and for quick getaways.
>WheezingHis "smoke em out" option if Dale can't just indiscriminately burn the infestation for whatever reason.
>DurantUltimately
>>54048504 made a pretty good point. Dale is as fascinated with bugs as he is at exterminating them, and his career would lead to him potentially capturing any number of them. Durant seemed the best to breed and send against his enemies since Heatmor is a natural predator, but Scyther, Scollopede, and even Volcarona were considered for this spot and you can basically consider his fifth slot the "bug" slot for whichever specific bug he needs for the job.
>KrookodileThis one I was initially iffy on, but now I think it's a very fitting Ace mon. It's a ground/dark type, it lives in the sand and it doesn't need others getting on its turf, feels very Dale. It's a Dark type that satisfies Dale's paranoia over the Government trying to spy on him via Psychics, it would be his makeshift pocket sand giver until capturing the Palossand, and it even evolves into a red crocodile with shades shaped eyes, which is reminiscent of Dale's iconic cap and shades. You look at Dale and a Krookodile just standing together and you're all "yeah that fits, that's a trainer/pokemon duo right there"
