And the Anime was also super hype as well.
So, the one thing that struck me in the feels real hard was Ash Losing out on becoming a Champion for the first time- due to a freakin' technicality on his charizard not obeying.
It felt like the laziest cheap ploy to continue the series. and it STUNG. all those episodes. all that training and encouragement for NOTHING.
and i had hope for about 2 more seasons until i gave up entirely, realizing that Ash would never properly win an champion status from anywhere.
I mean, why couldn't they have just let him win and make it a fantastic finale in Kanto? So much closure would have been given from that sort of an ending, but no- Ash was turned into a Champion-Cuck from that day forth.
I hope he goes back to kanto someday and challenges the elite four again.
