For one I actually really like a lot of the new mons (especially Wooloo and Cramorant)
And I've honestly enjoyed every pokemon game I've played. I logged like 300 hours in Sun and like 75 in LgEevee even though it's
my least favorite.
I know that I'm going to be getting my moneys worth if I buy it, I love the formula and all the features look cool, raid battles in particular.
That being said I really don't like the direction that GF is taking the series (mainly the dex cut if I'm being honest but also the fact they they clearly arent putting as much wffort in as they could be) and I don't want to spend money in support of that.
I would love to get the game at launch and play it but I would feel guilty for giving gamefreak money. I guess I'll have to get it used or hope that I get it as a gift without asking so I can be absolved of guilt lmao.
