When did they get the idea that it was okay to start using cults and science-fiction? Then it became like every other science fiction franchise out there. What kept it grounded it what kept it unique. Gen 3 thew me for a loop that I couldn't recover from. I've played through gens 3/4/5, don't get me wrong, but Team Rocket was the perfect contemporary orginization. They were doing to Pokémon in-universe what had been done to the franchise itself: whoring it and counterfeiting it.
It's the perfect set-up so why on EARTH did you need to go DEEPer?
