Imagine they release Gold/Silver today, but the game ends when you beat Lance. Then they sell you the Kanto post-game for $30 calling it the “3rd version” and Crystal never happens. Or if Diamond/Pearl came out today and they cut out the Battle Zone and sell it back to you. Then Platinum never happens and we’re stuck with the slow as shit Diaper missing all the improvements that Platinum made.
But now we’re stuck with the shit Swoosh base game and will never get an improved plotline that might’ve revolved around Eternatus anymore in Pokemon Gun. And we’re also stuck with all the other unpolished mess that comes with the first versions.
