How did you even break the black plastic part of the pad? The gray rubber pad on mine came off after playing Smash 3DS a lot and I just stuck one of these furniture cushioned pads over it as a temporary measure, but it worked really well surprisingly. Been using the same pad for almost a year now, didn't even it would last this long.
