Does it really matter? No. Certain Pokemon will always be represented over others and if it wasn't Pikachu and Charizard it would be Raichu and Blastoise or Pachirisu and Finneon and then everyone would hate them instead.
Does liking Charizard mean you have bad taste? No, there are objectively worse designs.
