as far as criteria goes, anything that tried to change up and redefine what the pokemon initially did (without failing like banette) got a good score. pokemon like t-tar and blaziken that are essentially just better versions of the base mon got only meh, and fuck mega slowbro and its shell armor. idk and idc what mega (or primal, fuck nintendo) groudon or kyogre do, but i guess groudon getting fire is cool. my boy houndoom should have gotten a better ability but the increased speed is good enough. and fuck banette, why did they think it could be as good as sableye
