Dustin got taken out by my MVP, Glisten. I love having a stronk Bug type in this game especially one that evolved from the early game. I just caught an interesting Pokémon called Eclipo that mentions Solaran and Lunaro in its Pokédex entry, which I'm assuming refer to the Legendaries. Lunala is one of my favourite legendaries ever, so I'm curious to see how this shapes up. Now onwards to the next route. I wish that the creators had had another spell checked or something because the number of mistakes is really funny and also sad.
I like the abilities that they introduced. For example, there's a vampire bat Pokémon I caught that has the ability Bloodthirst, which grants it an HP boost whenever it uses a bite-based move. That's pretty cool and flavourful. Some of the unique moves caught me off guard. For example, there's a Fire-type move named Fireworks which is SE to Flying-type. I love that sort of playfulness with the mechanics.
