Both add-ons are layer effects but work a little differently, Colorlab is more complex in that the layers are made to interact with each other and the canvas actively changes how colors interact in order to sell the limited-style of coloring in the back-then, so basically you gotta blend stuff behind the other until you find the right value you’re looking for, or cheat like how I do and sometimes use colors outside the designated color mixing layers
Inversely Phantom Paper is more straightforward, it has the same ink, texture and canvas effect but colors don’t interact and you can draw on them as normal
