I have no idea how anybody can defend the overall design of this gen. This is the only generation in which I had to box my starter as soon as it was possible because I couldn't stand looking at its stupid face. I mean look at this hideous fucker. I can imagine the designers just giving up on its design after one hour of thinkering. Ehh, I'll just make it all pointy and shit, I guess... This goes for the other two starters too, they're ridiculous.
That said, Volcarona,Krookodile, Scolipede, Haxorus and a few others became my favorites from all of the gens, cause they look like actual pokemon and not something a kid would draw on a piece of paper in a waiting room.
