I lived in Brooklyn during 9/11 and our class was at recess on the blacktop when the 1st plane hit the building. I was in 4th grade when it happend and all I remember was some kids losing their shit and freaking out, and I was just siting down playing Pokémon with my friends. I was not the only kid who was oblivious though, in fact most kids where still playing basketball and beyblade or 4-square on the blacktop. Our teachers couldn’t get us under control to make matters worse. I caught a Aipom that day and nicknamed it 9/11.
