Just picked up my 6th pokemon! I am a big fan of all these designs so far. Accidentally fainted my route 3 encounter, it was a zebra. Now usually when I enter a new region I get smacked around pretty badly because I'm unfamiliar with the area. As a result I am moving extra cautiously through the game so far. I am a little concerned for my purrloin (love the name btw) because he seems to have a bit of a glass jaw.
My impressions of the game so far, I am really liking it. I actually really liked how the 1st gym was set up as a type tutorial. I fought that N guy a second time and am seeing what that one anon meant by having 0 rivals but also 3. Probably my favorite thing is just how vibrant the world seems. Leaves blowing in the wind as you walk around, the pokemon shifting around during battle but even in the pokemon menu. I like the characters so far, the evil team (cult under Ghetsis?) is intriguing to me, etc.
