It's a shame there wasn't some recent major event of international concern that involved people collecting data and presenting statistics strongly supporting one outcome before getting blown the fuck out by reality to drive home the point that most people aren't qualified to read statistics, let alone present them. Something like an American Presidential election where the pollsters predicted a landslide for the loser.
