That's why there are so many critics and YouTubers who spend so much time completely ripping into Disney's business practices and works.
Pokemon: Detective Pikachu is a whole lot of unknown all at once, doing a whole bunch of shit the Pokemon franchise has never done. This is genuinely far more exciting and impactful. We feel like we've seen Toy Story 4 even before we've seen the trailer, but Detective Pikachu is fresh.
Oh, on top of that: Disney dropped the trailer for their live-action Dumbo remake 2 days ago, again trying to drive attention away from Detective Pikachu. Only 5 million views on that one.
