It was a morning like any other when the fated day came. After having just beat Gardenia, my monferno and staravia were in fine form, strutting like the champions they were (and still are). Walking under the cycling road of Sinnoh's route 206 I stared absently while reminiscing, thinking of the first day my adventure started, the confusion as always left in Barry's wake as he rushed off without so much as a "goodbye!"
It didn't matter. I wasn't looking for Barry's approval. Three years ago, my father was mercilessly killed by a grunt from team Galactic for his pokemon. They weren't even rare, bidoofs and starlys can be found everywhere in this area. Ever since, it has been my dream to become the very best, so that I may smite team Galactic and all they stand for.
This is what ran through my head when professor Rowan offered me a pokemon.
"Together with chimchar, I will cleanse this world" I thought when I picked up that pokeball.
My quest still continues, as I follow clues that lead to team Galactic on my way to becoming the pokemon champion.
That day though, I forgot about these things. As I was walking thorugh the grass, suddenly I spotted a strange Gentleman, huffing and puffing, face red in stark contrast with his luscious black mustache. Then, as suddenly as he had appeared, he disappeared like a wisp of smoke in the wind.
He never completely disappeared from my thoughts though. Who was this strange, elusive Gentleman?
After a few days, the impact was lost, and he started fading from my mind. By this time I had a luxio and had beaten maylene, ready to face the man they called 'crasher' Wake. As I was training my luxio in the grass on route 10, my heart skipped a beat as I saw the Gentleman yet again. In a flurry of his conductor's cape, he disappeared once again, though this only cemented his importance to me. After all, only someone with something to hide would run.
