First of all, armored evolution is fake. The new main gimmick swapping between a traditional Pokemon battle and a football match. You control your trainer in the latter. Another new feature is horseback battles where you ride on equine Pokemon while using other Pokemon of yours to battle. This is what the unused run animations from Sun and Moon are for. Speed is a very import factor here and attacks may be more likely to miss.
