>>18372219I just made this team in game and I can clone all the pokemon for you
if you are not morally opposed and give them to you.
The team concept, which is commonly see high on the Showdown ladder, is "dual-bird." Talonflame is a very strong pokemon, as we all know, and has limited true counters. Even Rotom-W will die after it switches into 3 Brave Bird attacks, or has prior damage otherwise. Bird #1 is Talonflame and will sweep, given half a chance. Bird #2 is Staraptor in my case, with a choice band. You could also choose Choice Scarf, but I choose Band to guarantee OHKO on Rotom-W with a Double-Edge. The thing about Staraptor is that it naturally draws out Talonflame's counters, and with good prediction, kills them or seriously injures them enough to die to +2 Brave Bird from Talonflame. Many people like to switch in Rotom-W versus Staraptor, then die instantly. Many people like to switch in Rock Pokemon, then die to Close Combat. Double Edge is a good neutral move on a lot of Pokemon. I like the team a lot. Also usable as the 2nd bird would be Nasty Plot Togekiss if that sounds more exciting, usually carries Dazzling Gleam + Aura Sphere, and for the last moveslot either Roost or Fire Blast. I like Roost myself but sometimes you need Fire Blast to kill Aegislash (important).
That is the offensive core concept. The defensive core is a simple Steel-Fairy-Dragon core (similar to Fire-Water-Grass concept) with a Mega Venusaur wild card. Mega Venu + Heatran jointly can basically wall the entire game, they complement each other and wall each other's counters. Venu can even leech seed when you predict the switch, the Mega Venu counter comes out, then you switch to Heatran, so in this way Heatran can be healed by Mega Venu. Consider putting Ancient Power on Heatran if you want to kill Talonflame, otherwise leave it how I have it.
So you are battling someone with a dragon mono? I can give advice on that match up if you want.
