I have yet to spend a single one, and thats with some of them being from the kecleons (They can sell one in place of the evo item) and a think a few are quest rewards. You are never going to stop playing this game if you actively hunted 999 black prisms. 99 would still be a fuck ton but it's at least somewhat feasible to grind that many assuming you're in the same position I am
