Dragon itself covers FWG and Electric (minus Ice moves from certain Water mons), where Fire is its main job to help Steel and Fairy. Steel stops Poison, Steel, Dragon, and Fairy to cover the others. Fairy doubles down on Dragon because they almost always carry a trapper, Ground move, or Fire move for the Steel type. Fairy also covers the Fighting weakness.
Fire-Water-Grass is tried and true but you'll still find at least a Steel type in their midst or elsewhere on the team, among other typings to cover offenses they otherwise wouldn't resist. Take pic related for example. Slowbro covers Fighting, Heatran covers Flying, and Venusaur covers Electric (with Thick Fat for stuff like HP Ice that Electric mons often pack).
