I remember arguing with my fellow kids about how Pokemon The First totally ended things and everything after was a dream.
I wasn't expecting it to be a different kind of bittersweet. I thought it'd be more contemplative and final or even bizarrely meta, but instead it's a nice kind of low-key, but the bitter's from so blatantly leaving the door open.
Oh, well. There's still those reboot movies.
