>>43503036Fucking everything. It completely replaced the far superior PSS from the Gen Vi games for the Join Avenue from B2W2, only much worse in ever regard. In order to get the most out of it, you have to talk to random NPCs and get buildings installed in the plaza. The NPCs only offer you one building apeice and they don't tell you what those buildings do, which means you'll either have to look up what they do online or just guess.
Then you have to level them up by directing those same NPCs to your buildings. Each NPC wants to go to a different building, and if they aren't satisfied you won't get any points for bringing them there. This is also random per NPC, so once again you'll have to look it up or just guess if you want to know where to send them. You can only install a few buildings at first (around 3 I think), so if you want more of them you'll have to earn Festival Coins. Festival Coins are the currency you use to actually utilize the buildings you've installed. Collect enough of them in total (not current total) and you'll level up. The higer your level, the more buildings you'll be able to install. But even when you finally get your buildings upgraded, the stuff you can get from these buildings aren't all that major.
TL;DR, it's a fucking headache.
It also made battling and trading much more cumbersome because you had to stop everything you were doing, travel to a pocket dimension and stay in a menu just to search for people to trade or battle with. This would prevent you from being able to see other people requesting to trade/battle with you, by the way. They hid the GTS and other featured you actually wanted to use behind a bunch of menus, forcing you to waste even more time than you would've using the PSS. They also removed the ability to write custom messages, which made looking for specific people to battle/trade with even more difficult, and makes requesting for specific Pokemon or mons with specific natures practically impossible.
